Texas Two Step: current-rule theoretical outcomes

Texas Two Step: current-rule theoretical outcomes. A sourced theoretical explanation of lottery rule models, combination counts and limits. It is not betting advice or historical analysis.

This is a theoretical calculation based on the current published rules; it is not historical draw data.

Scope and model

This page uses the current Texas Two Step main model: four main numbers from 1 to 35 and one separately drawn Bonus Ball from 1 to 35. It does not report a historical frequency table, a recent 500-draw sample, an expected-value estimate or a claim about player populations.

The article uses only the stated current rule model. It makes no claim about an archive, recent draws, player behaviour, sales, jackpot timing, future outcomes or a preferred ticket profile.

Checked calculation

The calculation below is a count of valid outcomes under the stated model:

  • Four-of-35 main-number combinations: 52360.
  • Complete four-plus-bonus outcomes: 1832600.

Interpretation limit

In a fair, independent drawing with fixed rules, every valid basic-ticket combination has the same probability. Number balance, high-low splits, odd-even splits, sum bands, recent frequency, hot or cold labels, gaps, clusters and consecutive numbers do not improve one ticket's chance of winning.
